Call them Hors D'oeuvres, Tapas, Meze or Antipasto these are the delicious little snacks found all over the Mediterranean. Spain, Greece, France, Italy, Syria, Morroco and more! This class will provide you with unique recipes that will serve as fun appetizers or a complete meal of small plates. When it's grey and rainy in Seattle explore the fun and diverse specilaities from the sunny spots of the Mediterranean world.

Real Phad Thai, homemade pasta, Mango chutney and Curries? Would you like to make an ethnic meal without it coming from a box? This is a class designed to introduce you to foods and techniques all over the world. Each class we will prepare an entire meal from a different destination with authentic recipes and ingredients with you, the students setting our itinerary. Bring your appetite and an apron.

Vegetarian for everyone! Come join us for four fabulous nights of complete (no seafood,meat) vegetarian meals; Polenta lasagne with marinara, fresh herbs and mozzarella, Indian lentil soup (Dhal) with home made flatbread, currys, and the world's best grilled veggie burgers with home made buns and sweet potato fries.
This is delicious, easy and healthy food that won’t leave you asking “where’s the beef?"

Have you had some (or no) experience in the kitchen but want more practice? This class is geared towards the zealous beginner/intermediate level cook who would like to gain more technique and confidence. This is a “hands on” cooking class; we make our way through recipes, prepare and eat the food together and discuss what we’ve created.Recipes will be supplied for appetizers, main dishes, soups and salads and desserts with healthy and low fat options. You'll learn knife skills and most importantly how to fix mistakes in the kitchen.Beginning cooking also introduces you to some of the fundementals of cooking.Bring an apron, tupperware for leftovers (optional)  and your appetite; we eat a full meal!

A continuation of beginning l cooking class, Beginning Cooking 2 delves deeper into more complex recipes and techniques with an emphasis on improvising and knife skills. The class walks students through a brief history of refined cooking, teaching classical cooking techniques with recipes adapted for the modern day cook. Each session there will be one improvisational dish where students will be assigned ingredients and with the help, will improvise and develop their own recipe.

Supply Fee; $12 one dinner, $20 two dinners

Join the fun with others as we learn and prepare 30 minute meals-Grilled salmon burgers with home made buns, authentic and easy Phad Thai, Easy No-fry Eggplant Parmesan, three meat meatloaf with creamy fontina polenta, home made salad dressings, quick crusty rolls and the list goes on...Each week we’ll learn many new recipes to make a complete meal.  The class supplies you with a pantry list; things to always have on hand, so you can whip up a great meal even if you haven’t shopped and at  the end of thesession you’ll have new skills, a whole new repertoire of reciprs and the “what’s for dinner” question already solved. Classes are hands on; lunchtime meal provided! Bring your apetite, an apron and tupperware for leftovers.

Decipher all those baking terms; creaming, folding, aerating, proofing, kneading- find out why cakes fall, bread is tough, custard curdles or why your pie crust is like cardboard! Join us for a four week introduction to pastry and cake making; buttercreams, sweet and savory pies, puff pastry, quiche, flatbreads and quick breads; always hands-on and enough information to embark on your own pastry making adventures.

$35 supply fee is payable to instructor on the first night of class
